Merely Theatre’s acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is coming to the Open House Festival, Bangor, Northern Ireland on the 27th and 28th of August, performing in The Walled Garden.
The Open House Festival is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation that’s been organically grown and tenderly looked after by local people, Kieran Gilmore & Alison Gordon, since 1999. This year, over 40 venues in Bangor, Northern Ireland will play host to over 130 unique events.
The Walled Garden of Bangor Castle Park was designed by The Ward family in the 1840s, and was never open to the public until 2o09, considered by many until then as a secret garden.
Merely Theatre will bring their production to this delightful, beautiful and perfectly appropriate venue, staged in the round. Suitable for ages 7+
Artistic Director Scott Ellis said, “We are thrilled to be able to bring A Midsummer Night’s Dream to such a perfect space, at the ideal time of year. It will also be exciting for us to work in the round, which is a style we have worked in a great deal and one we love.”
Tickets are now on sale on the Open House Festival website.
